Vad för material i denna lergök. -
precis en sån (PES) - antik- & samlarforum
Kan någon se vad senna lergök är gjord i för material ? Den är fotad i lampsken. I verkligheten är den brunare, ungefär som pepparkaksdeg.
Den är 7 cm och väger 80 gram och är stenhård.

hej, jag gissar att göken är gjord av stengodslera. Den blir hårdare än lergods. För att få en glatt och hård yta som göken ser ut att ha så "glättar" man ytan medan leran fortfarande är litet fuktig. Med att glätta menas att man gnuggar ytan med t ex baksidan av en sked och bearbetar så att man får en mycket slät yta. Detta gör man innan den bränns. Stengodslera bränns vid högre temperatur än lågbrännande "krukmakarlera" och blir mycket hårdare, godset sintrar i bränningen.
