Järn från Leufsta -
precis en sån (PES) - antik- & samlarforum
Under stundom tager jag mig ett järn. Älskar att köpa saker jag inte vet vad det är. De här 2 järnklumparna är från gamla Leufsta järnbruk och är ca 25 x 8 x 2 cm och väger ett par kg. De är fasade i båda ändar.
Hur gamla kan de vara och vad skulle de användas till ? Ser ut som något ämne ? Hoppas någon Pesare vet.
Jag är ganska säker på att det rör sig om tackjärn från Lövsta (Leufsta) bruk. Tackjärn gick säkert på export, men stämpeln SWEDEN gör att jag har svårt att datera.
I över tvåtusen år har järnet format livet och landskapet i Gästrikland. Här finns hisnande gruvschakt, vackra bruksmiljöer, smedjor, masugnar, moderna stålverk och arkitektur av världsklass…
Vi får avvakta och hoppas att någon kunnig uttalar sig!
