Jag har idag köpt två exakt likadana keramikburkar med väldigt tydlig tillverkarsignatur. Tyvärr har jag inte hittat den i min litteratur. Tror de hör hemma på tjugo-trettio-talet i möjligtvis tyskland eller österrrike. Vad tror ni? Har någon bättre uppslagsböcker? Om ni råkar hitta mitt inlägg på andra platser på det här forumet, så förvånar det mej inte, det tog lite tid för en dator analfabet som jag att lyckas få det hela till rätt ställe!

Dina lockburkar är tillverkade troligen under perioden 1910-1925 i Schlesien i en stad som heter Bunzlau på tyska, men som idag ligger i sydvästra Polen; Bolesławiec.

For a long time Bolesławiec has been famous for its Bunzlauer pottery works. Pottery was an early trade and already in 1511 the Bolesławiec pottery guild is mentioned. This entire region has a history of pottery making dating back to the early 7th century. Early pieces from the 1700s and 1800s were used by farmers as storage pieces and had a chocolate colored glaze. At the end of the 19th century, the potters of Bolesławiec began to introduce new lines of pottery intended for use in the parlor. At the same time, they began to experiement with colored glazes, sponging techniques, and various decorations. Much of the pottery is of high-quality, handpainted stoneware. In 1898, the German government established the Keramische Fachschule (Ceramic Technical Training School) to foster development of the art.

Feinsteinzeugfabrik Julius Paul & Sohn var tillverkaren i Bunzlau och fabriken var verksam mellan 1893 till 1945. Dekorationen på locket är typiskt för denna typ av keramik och kallas Pfauenaugen dvs påfågelsögon och Din dekor finns som omslag till en bok om Bunzlauer Keramik och fabriken.
